On the Job…

Here at Bjorkstrands we are very proud of our crew and their dedication to quality and customer service.  Here are a few photos from the jobsite showing a Gerard Canyon Shake installation on this beautiful half-log sided home, garage, and lakeside cantina in the Long Lake area near Birchwood:

In this photo we are installing Ice and Water Shield underlayment along the rake edge where we have removed the asphalt shingles back to fit our rake channel flashing.  The end result is a nice, clean stone-coated steel rake edge flush with your current D-edge flashing:In this photo,  we use a large shear,  much like a large paper cutter, to make our cuts,  the use of this tool “pinches” the acrylic coating of the shake so as not to leave exposed steel.  This helps prevent corrosion on the cut end:This photo shows our metal brake.  We can custom bend just about any type of flashing on-site.  No matter what unusual situation your home presents,  we can make flashing, rake channel or counter flashings on site.Stay tuned folks, we are currently putting together a “Before and After” photography project that shows the amazing difference a Bjorkstrand Metal Roof can make to the curb appeal of your home!
